Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered via Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When the site is accessed, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular IP address, time, requested file and browser details, to deliver the site and ensure operation and security. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in a secure and reliable service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), supplemented by standard contractual clauses.

Anonymous statistics

To identify demand for blocks, page views, visits, downloads and searches without results are counted. Stored are the day, the type of event, the page, file name or search term, the selected language and, on arrival, the host name of the referring site, but no IP address and no identifier for recognising visitors. Please do not enter personal data in the search. Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is the legitimate interest in improving the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact and suggestions

When the forms are used, the message, any voluntary contact details, the language and the time are stored to handle the request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). To prevent abuse, a daily changing, non-reversible hash is formed from the IP address and deleted after two days. Messages are deleted once no longer needed, at the latest after twelve months.

Human check (Cloudflare Turnstile)

Cloudflare Turnstile is loaded once a form is clicked, to block automated requests. Cloudflare processes in particular the IP address and browser and device details, also in the USA. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Turnstile is not loaded before that or on other pages.

Storage in the browser

For the “Back” function, the most recently viewed overview is kept in the browser’s session storage during the visit, deleted when the tab is closed and not transmitted. This is strictly necessary for this function (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Rights of data subjects

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. No automated decision-making takes place.
